Johnson Falls

Johnson Falls is a waterfall in Michigan, a scenic destination for hiking, photography and cooling off on a summer day. Most of Michigan's waterfalls are in the Upper Peninsula, where rivers tumble over ancient rock on their way to Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, though a handful spill through the northern Lower Peninsula as well. They range from broad, thundering cascades to delicate ribbon falls tucked into the forest.

Flow is usually strongest in spring during snowmelt and after heavy rain, and ice formations can make a winter visit spectacular for those prepared for the cold.
