Sand Flat Campground (4Wd Only) is a public campground in from the Sierra to the Pacific, managed by USDA Forest Service.

This campground is good much of the year. Spring and fall bring mild weather and thinner crowds, while summer is busiest — book ahead or arrive early in the warm months.
